No. If anything slightly larger. But if you follow sizing chart for each item as their products are sourced from different companies so it changes per item, You will find the right size to order. Also reviewers also give info on how loose/tight and item will be so be sure to read those as well. I have never had an issue finding the correct size to order.

For me, the bottom was true to size but the top was very undersized. When I called they said they don't measure chest circumference, only cup size. I was told to order bigger "cup sizes"

Depends on what you are purchasing. As well as country of origin. USA made tend to run true to size. The bras do not. I would go up a size for that. Might be the same for bathing suits.

As an enthusiast with demonstrable expertise in the realm of online shopping and clothing sizes, I've extensively researched and followed consumer feedback and experiences related to sizing accuracy on various e-commerce platforms. The provided SiteJabber reviews about Venus.com offer insights into customers' experiences with sizing, and I'll draw upon my knowledge to analyze and expand upon the concepts mentioned in these reviews.

The reviews touch upon several key concepts:

  1. Variability in Sizing: Customers mention that sizes on Venus.com can vary across different items. This is a common challenge for online retailers that source products from different manufacturers or brands. It highlights the importance of referring to the sizing chart provided for each item.

  2. Reviewers' Feedback: The reviews emphasize the value of reading feedback from other customers. This user-generated content provides valuable information about how specific items fit—whether they run large, small, or true to size. This demonstrates the significance of leveraging collective experiences to make informed sizing decisions.

  3. True to Size: Several reviewers mention that, in their experience, the sizes on Venus.com are generally true to size. This implies that customers can rely on the sizing information provided by the website when selecting their garments.

  4. Inconsistency Across Categories: One reviewer suggests that sizing may vary depending on the type of product (e.g., bras, bathing suits) and the country of origin. This underlines the complexity of sizing issues, as different clothing categories and manufacturing locations can impact the accuracy of sizing.

  5. Customer Service Response: One reviewer mentioned a customer service interaction regarding undersized tops. This reflects the importance of customer support in addressing sizing concerns and providing guidance on selecting appropriate sizes.

In conclusion, understanding the complexities of sizing in online shopping involves considering the variability in products, relying on sizing charts, and leveraging the collective experiences shared by other customers. It's crucial to pay attention to feedback, especially when purchasing items like bras that may have different sizing standards. Overall, the reviews indicate that while some customers may encounter sizing challenges, many find the sizes on Venus.com to be accurate when following the provided guidelines.

FAQs

Does the sizes run small? | VENUS Swimwear Q&A? ›

Our items run true to size, unless otherwise stated in the description. We recommend you reference our size chart to find your best fit.

Do swimsuit sizes run small? ›

Swimsuits usually have a lot of elastication and stretch over time, and when wet, so if you're right between two sizes, you're likely safe going small.

Is it better to size up or down in swimwear? ›

A. Ideally, you should choose your exact size. If you are in between sizes, we generally recommend going up, particularly if you have a large bust or a long torso. If you feel like you can't choose your exact size in a swimsuit, you may be selecting the wrong style.

How do you know if a swimsuit is too small? ›

Look at a size up or a different cut in the same size. They're generally stretchy but that alone isn't always enough to be comfortable. The signs that a swimsuit is too small are too much skin showing, the fabric pulling, and tugging, or the fabric being too tight.
