One of Target Circle's best perks is the opportunity to get 1% back on in store purchases, which you can track in the Target app. As the earnings accumulate, you'll eventually have enough store credit to use on another purchase at Target. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Credit score requirement: You can qualify for the Target Circle™ Credit Card with good to excellent credit, generally defined as a credit score of 690 or better. As with all credit cards, though, credit scores alone are not enough for approval. The issuer will consider your income and other factors.

As you can see, Target Circle and the Target RedCard are not the same thing. While both offer access to exclusive Target perks, Target RedCard is a credit card with substantial cash back benefits, while Target Circle is a loyalty program that's especially useful for people who enjoy finding deals.

When you include your birth date in your Target Circle account before your birthday you will receive 5% off a future purchase the day of your birthday, which is valid for 30 days.

If you have a fair credit score (580-669 FICO score), you can still apply for a Target Circle Credit Card as long as you don't mind a hard credit pull on your credit report. Just be sure to apply for the Target Credit Card and not the Target Mastercard.

What is the easiest credit card to get? ›

You need fair credit or better to get approved for a Target Credit Card. For the best odds of being approved, it's recommended that you only apply for a Target Credit Card if your credit score is 640 or higher and you have enough income to afford monthly bill payments.
