What does inbound scan at destination mean?
Inbound. all parcels that arrive at a recipient depot during the day are scanned there. An “inbound” status means that the parcel should be out for delivery soon.
Destination Scan: The shipment has arrived at the local UPS facility responsible for final delivery. Exception: Action Required: The shipment is currently within the UPS network; however, more information regarding the delivery address is needed. The sender must provide the correct shipping address information to UPS.
Your package has arrived its destination country and during domestic transportation. Your package is under another transportation period. For instance, it's in another country as a transit point and will be forwarded from there to its final destination country.
The overwhelming majority of the time that you see the “The Item is Currently in Transit to the Destination” tracking message it means that your package is one USPS facility away from arriving at your local post office or USPS fulfillment center where it's actually going to be processed for delivery.
Arrival scan means the packages has been either physically scanned at a UPS facility or the trailer has arrived on the yard. The shipment is moving, there may be several days between scans if shipment is going cross-country or moving between countries.
Arrival Scan: The shipment has arrived at a UPS facility. Delivered: The shipment has reached its destination, and the date and time of delivery have been recorded. In the U.S. and Canada, residential deliveries that do not require a signature may be left in a safe place, out of sight and out of weather.
Packages marked as "out for delivery" usually arrive by the end of the day. Your package's arrival time depends on how close you live to the delivery facility, as well as the length of the delivery route.
Typically, a package will remain in transit until it reaches your local facility and is sorted onto a truck for delivery. Once it is on the truck, you will be notified that your item is out for delivery. A package that is still in transit will take a few more days to get to you.
'In transit' means that your package is on its way to its final destination.
The destination port is the port of loading i.e. the place where the shipment is actually loaded.
Why does my package say arriving today but not out for delivery?
It means that the carrier, or the one who is going to bring the package to your door, hasn't picked it up yet. That's why you'll sometimes run into a situation where Amazon says the package is arriving today but it isn't actually out for delivery.
