How do Ann Taylor shoes fit?
I would say Ann Taylor pumps tend to run about a half size bigger than pumps made by comparable retailers and about a size bigger than European shoemakers. However, I would urge you to try the shoes on yourself in stores to find the best fit. If you normally wear stockings at work, try these shoes on with stockings on.
The petite inseam is perfect with heels and flats. I had tried on size 00P since Ann Taylor pants typically run one size larger but it was too snug and I found that I fit my usual size 0P. I liked the 3/4 sleeves of this dress but I wasn't a fan of the dress on me.
The LOFT pair doesn't have the same padding, but otherwise looks the same as the Gigis. I found these sandals to run true to size. The footbed isn't the most comfortable, but that's to be expected without padding.

Ann Taylor has a specific target market of affluent female buyers in the age group of 25-50 years, which justifies its small presence (in terms of stores) in the U.S.

Over the company's fifty year heritage they have become a well-known resource for quality suits, separates, dresses, shoes, and accessories. In general, a Regular size and one size up in Petite are comparable. From the front, you can hardly detect a difference. This is the same dress from the side. This was my main reason for ordering the Regular size - on the right (Petite) you can see the line on the peplum is hitting me too high.
However, tank tops, T-shirts, and blouses at H&M can be either true to size or on the larger side. If you see the words “relaxed,” “oversized,” or “resort” in a product description, it will probably run big, so you may want to size down for a closer fit.
