It was one of the most iconic scenes EVER on hit MTV show The Hills, but our hearts have been ripped out and stamped on by Whitney Port, as she's revealed the famous Paris scene was all staged.

If you were a fan of the hit reality show, you'll remember the heartbreaking moment during the season one finale when Lauren Conrad (AKA LC), chose Jason Wahler over a life-changing trip to Paris with Teen Vogue. After Lauren's decision (despite the entire world shouting at their TV screens), the trip was later offered to Whitney, with Lauren forever being known as 'the girl who didn't go to Paris.'

However, thirteen years, and as season 2 of the The Hills reboot continues plans to restart shooting before returning to our TV screens, Whitney Port has revealed all about THAT scene, leaving us crying into our coffee.

Speaking to Vogue last year, Whitney revealed she never actually went to Paris, and admitted the summer internship didn't even exist. She said, 'That was so ridiculous. It wasn't an ideal situation, but I thought, okay, this is good for me because I really was pursuing a career in fashion. I thought it showed that I was down and determined to do this. It was very Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs. I got dressed up in an airport look and went for it. And then, after filming the dramatic departure scene, everyone just went home.'

Despite LC not taking part in the reboot, many of the original cast made a comeback, including Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt and new member Mischa Barton. Mischa, however, declined to return for the second series.

On the show, Lauren famously fell out with former BFFs Heidi Montag and Heidi's then boyfriend (now husband) Spencer Pratt. It was all over a vicious rumour regarding an alleged sex tape with Lauren's former boyfriend Jason Wahler.

If you only remember The Hills for one thing, it's got to be the birth of Speidi. Heidi and Spencer's relationship certainly ruffled a few feathers on the show, and caused the breakdown of Heidi and Lauren's friendship. The couple got engaged in 2007, eloped in 2008 and then married AGAIN in 2009 after Heidi said she wanted a big wedding with all her friends and family. Heidi and Spencer last appeared on the show during episode 4 of series 6, before Spencer was kicked off Spencer was kicked off for threatening to kill a producer.

Speidi have gone on to ruffle even more feathers after The Hills. Heidi filed for divorce in 2010, however it was later revealed the reasons behind the divorce were to help boost her career and change the couple's image. In 2013 they appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, had a HUGE feud with Rylan Clarke and became one of the most hated couples on the show. They came second as Rylan took the crown. In 2017 they returned to the Big Brother house for an All-Stars series. The couple welcomed their first child, a son called Gunner Stone, in October 2017.
