Earlier in the month, we reported that fast fashion retailer Zara is in hot water over a pricing scandal. There was even a viral video with alleged proof of the brand's faulty price conversions. The saga continues as media outlets uncover more price discrepancies based on location.
On Tuesday, Who What Wear identified three popular Zara items, and compared prices in the US, Mexico, Britain, Japan and, of course, Spain. As it turns out, shoppers in Spain are getting the lowest price on the products, while those in Japan and the US are paying the highest. One example they give is a pair of leather boots that cost $156 in Spain, $227 in Britain and a whopping $279 in America. After looking through their findings, it seems like Americans are paying almost 40% more than what shoppers in Spain are.
I guess if you want to save $100 on Zara boots, you should wait for a trip to Spain (or get your friend from Spain to buy them for you).
