We know trying to estimate the cost of a tattoo is really a thing, and, for this, we have created a simple tattoo cost calculator to make your life easier.

To estimate the cost, you just need to select in the calculator:

  • One country on the list.
  • If the tattoo is black and grey or colored.
  • The size.
  • The detail level.
  • The tattoo artist experience.

And the calculator shows you the estimate cost in dollars and euro.

Of course, this is and estimation, not a price list, and you must know this.

Things you should know about the tattoo price calculator

There are five different concepts or variables in the calculator, so we are going to try to solve all the questions you may have:

The price depends on the country

The first huge variable is the country. As you may know, the salaries in the US are not the same than in Germany, Spain, or Mexico.

We tried to introduce some countries in the calculator and, if you cannot find yours, just leave us a comment and we will add it. Another option is to use another country with similar salaries than your country, and it should help you a lot.

Something you may know!Inside a country is not the same getting a tattoo in the capital, in a city or in a small town, and the differences can be up to 40%, for this, we just pick the medium market price of the country.

The cost of a tattoo depends on the color too!

Each color use to increase the total amount of the tattoo.

Ok, it’s not a big deal, but we tried to keep it simple, so you can select your tattoo in black and grey or colored, that’s all you need for doing an estimation.

The cost depends on the size, of course!

Everyone can understand this:

The bigger a tattoo is, the bigger is the cost.

On this concept you can select 7 different options:

  • Tiny tattoos: Really small ones.
  • Small tattoos: Less than 5 cm.
  • Medium tattoos: From 5 to 10 cm.
  • Large tattoos: From 10 to 20 cm.
  • Half Sleeve: For arms or legs.
  • Sleeve: For arms or legs too.
  • Back: If you want to get inked all your back.

Then, the detail level is important too

The next step is the detail level.

Here you can find 4 options here:

Last, the tattoo artist

The last part of the calculator maybe is the most important one:

The experience of the tattoo artist.

We put here 4 different options for you:

  • Beginner tattoo artist: Is for apprentice artists, from a few months to 2 years of experience.
  • Established: For tattoo artists with an experience usually between 2 and 7 years.
