Sunkist (also marketed as Sunkist Soda) is a brand of primarily orange-flavored soft drinks that launched in 1979.

Sunkist Growers, Incorporated, branded as Sunkist, is an American citrus growers' non-stock membership cooperative composed of over 1,000 members from California and Arizona headquartered in Valencia, California.

What started as citrus growers in the late 1800s joining forces to collaborate and combine efforts, has evolved into more than 1,500 citrus grower members stretching across California and Arizona today. This is why Sunkist's motto is “Stronger Together.”

Sunkist is an agricultural cooperative entirely owned by and operated for the California and Arizona citrus growers who make up its membership.

Sunkist was was launched in 1979 originally manufactured under license by the Sunkist Growers Association to a leading Pepsi bottling company. However, in 1986 the production was taken over by Cadbury Schweppes beverages which was later merged with Dr. Pepper/Snapple where Sunkist resides today.
