SUMMER BLAZERS
Hello, everyone! How is everyone? I am in Alabama today, and must have brought the rainy weather. It stormed most of the day yesterday, but at least it’s not as hot as in Dallas. It seems I can’t escape the rain. I looked at the forecast for next week, and it’s all the same…rain! You all know how much I love a blazer, but when it’s 100 degrees outside, it’s not the first thing you probably think of. Summer blazers are my favorite thing to have on hand during summer.
Linen is usually the first fabric you might think of for a summer blazer, but lightweight wool, cotton, and seersucker (this is on sale and so cute!) are great for summer blazers. You’ll want to choose a blazer that is lightweight, breathable, and stylish. A few reasons to wear a summer blazer are to add polish to an outfit, to provide warmth (when the AC is cranked freezing), to protect from the sun’s harmful rays, and to make a statement (bold colors or unique print over a tee or tank).
Cardigans and denim jackets can also protect you from the sun’s rays and keep you warmer, but I think a summer blazer looks a little more polished. Usually, summer blazers go with your everyday go-to’s, like a white tee, classic sneakers, and summer tops. You can also wear a summer blazer with everything from jeans to a lightweight skirt.
I’m showing two summer blazer looks here. The first one is a linen blazer in a beautiful color of green. I posted this on Instagram, and everyone loved and purchased it. It’s from Frame and is a great blazer to invest in for summer. I am a massive fan of Frame, and most of what I am showing today is from the brand. I wore the blazer with a tank and white jeans from Frame.

The blazer below is also from Fame. It is a very light-weight oversized raw-edged blazer, and I have it in two colors. I’m wearing an XXS, and I wish that the navy came in that size. I paired a Palazzo jean and a fun mesh and rhinestone tank with the blazer. I was comfortable outside with these blazers on but was so glad I had them indoors. The bag I am carrying is back in stock and on sale!
We are making progress in packing up my in-laws. It’s amazing how much one can accumulate in their lifetime. I have been reflecting on that myself. I’ve done this before with my parents and I keep saying that I am going to start going cleaning out my house. I am definitley going to pencil that in! One day I will get it started! Have you all thought about that?
I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Stay well and Be safe! xx
