Appearance[]
First appearing[1] to be a man complaining about prices of food, Steve Hong can often be mistaken to be a poor man. He has a black, hockey hair cut and dark eyes. His old age shows with his many wrinkles along his fair skin. Customarily, he wears an olive colored jacket with a blue stripe, brown fedora hat, and a navy blue fanny pack slung over his shoulder.
Personality[]
Steve Hong speaks very blunt, every time he is shown interacting with one another, he speaks what he's thinking. He tends to always have a say when it comes to unlawful acts, such as investigating the impersonation of his daughter Joy Hong,[1] and Charles Choi regarding his relation to the four crews. Charles Choi describes him, "That old fart's just good at figuring out hints,"[2] insinuating that Steve Hong is much smarter than he presents himself to be.
He has been shown to have a soft side for those he is not necessarily close to. He cares that his bodyguards are trained to be respectful, and not to be seen as mobsters.[1] In addition to this, he offered to treat journalists and paparazzi to eat rice soup with him.[2]
Relationships[]
Family[]
Jay Hong[]
Steve Hong's second son is Jay Hong. It has been hinted that they do not have a great relationship as Jay is closed off from the family and Steve told Jay, "Don't ever call me again."
Joy Hong[]
A freshman in high school, Joy Hong is Steve Hong's only known daughter. There is no interpretation of their status regarding each other, other than the fact that Steve looked into the waypoint of her impersonators.
Kitae Hong[]
Kitae Hong is Steve's first son in the family. Kitae is the Chairman of a theme park, and likely that he gained his status because of his father's position.
Allies[]
Daniel Park[]
Steve met Daniel Park while investigating Charles Choi by visiting Daniel's house (previously owned by Charles) after Sophia broke Daniel's door. The two allied each other to investigate Charles Choi.
After being denied from Club ViVi, Steve had Sophia trained Daniel to lose his weight.
Steve, using his power and status helped Daniel evade arrest during The Hunt for Big Deal.
Sophia Alexander[]
TBA
Other[]
Charles Choi[]
He and Steve are both CEOs, and they have known each other for a long time, but are not friends.[3] Even though they act nice to each other, they actually have a strong rivalry. They even shot at each other before.[4]
Synopsis[]
Steve Hong's first entrance was regarding the terms of his daughter Joy Hong's pictures being used for impersonation and scamming acts. Jay Hong, his second son, had asked him to find out the impersonators location, and Steve becomes angry that Jay had fought people due to this. He declared to Jay, "Don't ever call me again," and left the restaurant.[1]
He requested that his assistant looks into who's messing with minors, and in his next appearance it finds to be that he suspects Charles Choi to be the one behind the minors causing issues, and confronts him.[2]
A minor altercation ensued between Charles Choi and himself causing him to confirm his suspicion that Charles is behind the major 4 gangs. This leads him to start to investigate Charles which leads him the Daniel Park's home (was previously Charles Choi's home).
Daniel Park VS Gun[]
Steve is going hunting, and he catches a bird. He says that even though the bird thinks that he can run away, it'll always be in the palm of his hands. Charles says that it sounds like Steve is talking about him, but Steve denies it.
Steve talks about the news, and says that the incident with Hostel was broadcasted. He looks at Charles and says that he thinks the gangs are funding a business. Charles shoots, nearly missing Steve's head, and he says that he saw a racoon behind him. Steve does the same, and when Charles asks if he saw a raccoon too, Steve says that he didn't, and was actually aiming for Charles. The two continue walking as if nothing happened.
Steve says that Charles used to work as a janitor, and then he started a business the year after he left. He asks who Charles met during that time.[5]
