Should you get luxury goods in South Korea? 🇰🇷 | Gallery posted by emm | Lemon8 (2024)

Luxury brands are so ex in Singapore, but yet they are a huge WANT 🥹 So here’s what you can do on your next trip to South Korea!

1. Do your research prior to visiting the stores

Check out how much they are in SG and KR. For example, LV is not much cheaper in kr than it is in SG but it is quite a fair bit for Gucci and Gentle Monster. It’ll be a lot more time-saving if you have already done your research beforehand!

2. Do your tax refunds at the airport

There are tax refund stations downtown, which makes it a lot easier. However, since it is a large sum, it’ll be fuss free to do it at the airport straight. Don’t be like me and end up having your tax refunds drawn back from your credit card upon reaching SG 😢

3. Use it!!

Don’t hand carry the paper bag, box and goods itself back to sg… saves space and a lot of trouble at immigration.

I have no regrets on these purchases! Gentle Monster is a lot cheaper, making me wish I had gotten another. Thankfully I didn’t or my tax refund would have been even more painful.

🤑 Enjoy your shopping spree and all the best to your wallet~

    • The mention of Gentle Monster being significantly cheaper in South Korea implies a brand-specific pricing strategy. This insight highlights the importance of understanding how different luxury brands price their products in various markets.
  5. Hashtags and Social Media References:

    • The use of hashtags like #Lemon8fashion, #Lemon8SG, #lemon8travel, #luxurybag, and #gentlemonster indicates a social media presence and possibly a platform where the author shares their experiences and insights with a broader audience.
