A unique feature of Covet is the use of voting as one of the central game mechanics. After styling and submitting a look, players looks are voted on by other players. Voting is one of the most rewarding aspects of Covet's gameplay - and sometimes, one of the most contentious!
Images with scoring results are some of the most widely shared amongst players, with FH's often sharing their 5-star looks via the Chat feature, and various online fan communities sharing scoring results.
There are different components of voting scores:
- Voting Results (also sometimes called a "raw voting score"); this is the score arrived at solely through player voting.
- Category Boost Scores; these are made up of Bonus points for two categories, Unworn and Season.
- Level Bonus; each successive level achieved in the game receives a higher additional points Bonus added to the score.
- Style Score; final score with all results, boosts/bonuses added together. kjsnokpwodpe
The component are added like this:
Voting Results 0.00 - 5.00
Unworn 0.00 - .50
Season 0.00 - .30
Level Bonus: increases by .1 for each successive level achieved.
Style Score: cumulative total.
These are the benchmark scores and prizes:
4.0 Look Rating --- Garment(s)
4.5 Look Rating --- 25 Diamonds; sometimes, additional garment
5.0 Look Rating --- Garment(s)
Best Look In Level --- 500 diamonds; featured on Runway
Top Look --- 5000 diamonds; featured on Runway
Best Look in LevelBest Look In Level (BLIL, BLL, or BL) is a look that received the highest score among all players within the same level, not counting Top Looks. A score of 5.79 is a guaranteed BLIL since it's the highest possible score under 5.8. However, if no player within a certain level scored 5.79, then 5.78 will receive BLIL, and so on. If two or more players receive the same highest-scoring results, all of them will get BLILs. Scores for BLIL are evaluted without the Level Bonus.
It is possible to receive BLIL with voter scores lower than 5.00 due to the in-season and unworn bonus categories. This is more typical for Flashback challenges since fewer players generally enter these .
Players who score a BLIL will receive an in-game notification in their Inbox. Their look will also appear on the Runway on the front page for the next 24 hours. (It will be the first look they see there.)
BLILs are not accessible for browsing anywhere aside from the front page where they appear in random order.
Top LookTop Look (TL) is also known as Perfect Score. It's a look that scored 5.8, the maximum possible score in the game. In order to receive TL, players need to receive a a score of 5.00 from voting and to have maximized both bonus categories: 0.30 seasonal bonus + 0.50 unworn bonus. This means that the look needs to be entirely in-season and have the unworn bonus at maximum in order to receive a TL, in addition to the 5.00 in voter scoring. Scores for TL are evaluated without the Level Bonus.
Players who score a Top Look will receive an in-game notification in their Inbox. Their look will also appear on the Runway on the front page for the next 24 hours. (It will be the first look they see there.)
In order to see all Top Looks for any particular challenge, players can either open their results mail for that challenge and navigate to the tab called "Top Looks," or from the Runway page, use the dropdown menu to select the challenge they want to see the Top Looks for. In either case, Top Looks will only be visible on the Runway within the 24 hour period.
