The best first step for reluctant parents

Our family has always been against FPS, but recently my child has entered 8th grade, and is distraught as all of his friends are playing games like COD, or FARCRY. While I disagree with these games, I think it is important for my child to have fun with his friends and be exposed at his age. Additionally, Destiny 2 is in my opinion the least violent FPS, as it has close to no gore, or intense violence, presents foreign aliens as the enemies instead of other players, and offers players options such as swords, bows, magic, and unrealistic and futuristic weapons, instead of more modern weapons such as rifles, pistols, and machine guns. In conclusion I think if you have never exposed your child to games such as these and want to take the first step, this is the perfect way to do it.

Good Sci-fi for Tweens and Teenagers

Destiny 2 is a good sci-fi with a great story and action that is captivating while also relatively tame. There is virtually no gore or blood, and the violence is primarily fictional. Teamwork is rewarded throughout the game. I would recommend this game to any parents whose kids want to make the leap into "big kid" games, or any tweens who have outgrown E rated games and want to start playing T rated games. While combat is an important part of the game, the side quests and story are so captivating that they overshadow the violence for the most part. The game is free for XBOX, so there is no harm in trying it, and it isn't too bad with micro transactions for a free game. Overall, it is a good sci-fi game with an amount of consistently mild violence that is not unreasonable, and is a tea party compared to other games in its genre. Destiny 2 is a good game for younger players who want to start playing T rated games.

A good game

This game promotes teamwork and social skills. There is little to no blood, and it promotes hard work

Best Game I ever Played!

This is the best game I've ever played. I'm not sure why it's rating isn't higher on "positive message" and "role models", as there is much more than just shooting in this game! It has a message; putting others before yourself, protecting your people, showing that there are consequences no matter what your decisions are, and even more! I especially like the many Christian themes portrayed throughout this game. Although subtle, they are there (even if the game developers aren't religious). There is a bit of language thrown around though-out the game, however it is infrequent and fairly mild (except for one used by Ikora toward the beginning of Forsaken). The animation/motion capture and graphics are astounding and I love the design of the female characters as they aren't portrayed in any sexual way! There is so much to do in Destiny 2 with never ending missions, awesome seasonal/special events, co-op play, the fun is never ending!HOWEVER! There are a few negatives I would like to address: I would say that the only "sexual" portion of the game would be there are occasionally obtainable/optional dance animations that are a bit on the slinky side. The only other negative factors in this game would be in the new expansion Forsaken. This one takes a much darker turn than the other expansions. Your character goes rogue to dish out revenge on Cayde's killer and seems to be willing to do anything to track down his assassin(s).The new PVP activity Gambit, which introduces a new character called the Drifter, also leans toward the darker side of things in dialogue, though the activity itself is a lot of fun! The biggest downfall of this game is how much money you have to spend! The base game of Destiny 2, has dropped in price (about 20$ USD), but to get Forsaken + Curse of Osiris + Warmind + Season pass, you could spend up to $100 depending on which option/bundle you choose! I know not every gamer will agree with me, but Destiny 2 is one of the best games I've ever played, and the only game I ever really play! It can never replace the first Destiny, but it's still worth playing or at least giving it a try! I would recommend parents of younger tweens/teens do research into the content of the game before letting their kids play Destiny 2 as I think it is good parents know what their kids are playing. This would help in staying involved in your kid's world, and also give you an opportunity to play with them too! :)

This is the trustworthy review.

It is a fun harmless game with fun gameplay and no blood gore etc. The players partake in defeating hordes of unrealistic alien enemies, using guns and swords. It does not look like real life, and is just made for fun. I am a professional at age ratings of games, and this game is fine for anyone 10+

This is a child friendly first person shooter without the gory M rated things. I personally think that this is a much better alternative to ANY shooting game (except maybe COD).And instead of a killing game of killing players to get xp its more like saving the world kind of game DEFENINTLY reccoment

Good game but infested with cheaters

The story and graphics are great, I would have rated it as 4* for that. However the PVP (player vs player) part of the game is based on an outdated design with no dedicated servers that makes it extremely prone to people cheating. It is getting worse every season, now there is a cheater or two in almost every game, ruining it for everybody else. Very frustrating experience for the casual player. My son (14) ended up deleting the game after feeling really bad playing against a ton of aimbots and wall hackers online. PVP part of the game not recommended for kids, or even for adults for that matter.

Destiny 2 is a fun action packed game but it is still quite violent I myself would advise age 10+ up.
