Kids are all different and special in their own ways, andAmerican Girl dolls aim to celebrate that fact with two new Truly Me dolls.
With theAmerican Girl Truly Me series, fromMattel, it’s a chance for all types of kids to see dolls that look like them and highlight the individualities that make them stand out. While the line has focused on more traditional hair colors in the past, the toy company is now welcoming more colorful hues into the range. The line now offers rainbow- and purple-haired, 18-inch dolls.
With new hair colors, there are even greater opportunities for more kids to express themselves. Doll No. 88 features light-colored skin, blue eyes, and pink and teal hair that gives it an ethereal, mermaid-like vibe. Doll No. 86 sports a darker skin tone, brown eyes, and a sleek, violet-colored ‘do.
Each doll wears a floral printed dress with a mesh hem, a zip-front motorcycle jacket, and glittery flats. The Truly Me collection includes a paperback copy of Friends: Making Them & Keeping Them by Patti Kelley. The book includes true stories, quizzes, craft projects, and advice for kids about the power of friendship.
Whatever your little one’s style, now they can have a doll that matches their essences perfectly.
