Many retailers now accept Venmo as payment. Here’s a full list (2024)

Cashless and contactless payment methods have become exceptionally popular, especially due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Even online retail giant Amazon will soon allow U.S. shoppers to pay with Venmo sometime in 2022, “using funding methods that include their linked bank account and Venmo balance.”

Whether you’re looking for an easy transaction method to split bills, shop or just to keep track of finances, there are plenty of apps out there that will get the job done.

One of the most popular payment sharing apps is Venmo, especially when it comes to sending friends money to split a bill or pay off a debt of some sort. All you have to do is link your bank, debit or credit card account. Do note, though, there is a 3% fee for sending money using a linked credit card. You can also trade select cryptocurrencies.

What many don’t know, however, is that it’s also becoming increasingly popular for retailers to accept a Venmo transaction as a form of payment. For in-store purchases, you just scan your Venmo QR code at checkout to pay touch-free.

If you prefer an actual card versus an app, you can apply for a Venmo credit card through Visa or a debit card through Master Card on the app. You can keep track of all purchase activity through the app.
