Lemon Lime & Bitters is a guaranteed non-alcoholic thirst quencher. This Australian refresher combines the bright notes of lemon-lime citrus and ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters, enriched with a sparkling burst of bubbles.

Is Lemon Lime and Bitters Alcoholic. Technically yes it is alcoholic but the amount is very very small. The Angostura Bitters in Lemon Lime and Bitters is about 45% alcohol but only about 5-6 drops is used to make the drink. It isn't classed as an alcoholic co*cktail.

It's a unique combination of brewed aromatic spices and select herbs blended with lemon and lime juices to create the premium taste that's both refreshing and invigorating. Measured out in drops, using a precise, milliliter-dropper like the ones used to dispense medicine, a dash is about 10 single drops. Measured out in teaspoons, a dash would be 1/5 teaspoon, or as I discovered in my kitchen, between 1/8th teaspoon and 1/4 teaspoon.

What are bitters dashes in terms of quantity? One dash of bitters is somewhere between ⅛ teaspoon and ¼ teaspoon. Most drinks use 1 to 2 dashes. To add bitters to a drink, tip the bottle right into the drink and give it a good solid shake.

You can measure a dash very precisely when you make co*cktails by using a dropper as a measuring tool (like the ones you would find in aromatherapy bottles). Instead of shaking the bottle, fill a clean dropper with bitters and release exactly 10 drops into the drink.

Though the quantities used are minuscule, bitters has an alcohol content of around 45 per cent and the hotel says serving it to minors in the popular drink is simply too great a risk.
