Koreans go to bed after 11 p.m., and sleep for 7 hours and 59 minutes per night.

They spent less than 40 minutes for each meal, and more than 2 hours for house chores every day.

According to data released by Statistics Korea Monday, on average Koreans sleep 9 minutes longer than they did five years ago.

They go to bed at around 11:24 p.m. on weekdays, and at 11:29 on Saturday nights.

They get up at 6:34 a.m. on weekdays, and at 7:15 a.m. on Sundays.

Koreans spend 1 hour and 56 minutes for meals each day, or 11 minutes more than five years ago. On average, they have breakfast at 7:43 a.m., lunch at 12:32 p.m., and dinner at 7:09 p.m.

Korean adults are spending 2 hours and 4 minutes a day on weekdays doing house chores. However, there was huge difference between men and women _ while men spent only 47 minutes doing house chores, women dedicated 3 hours and 28 minutes.

The data also showed how much Korean students are studying. In case of high school students, they spend 8 hours and 21 minutes studying at school, and 1 hour and 52 minutes studying outside the school. Middle school students study at school for 6 hours and 1 minute, but spend 2 hours and 40 minutes more studying outside the school.

Elementary school students spend 4 hours and 35 minutes at school and 2 hours and 14 minutes outside school studying. College students, however, are dedicating less time than elementary school students on studying, 3 hours and 15 minutes at colleges and 1 hour and 49 minutes outside the school.

Koreans spend 1 hour and 39 minutes a day commuting, which is 5 minutes less than five years ago.

They watch TV for 1 hour and 55 minutes a day, on average. On Sundays, it expands to 2 hours and 51 minutes.

However, they are not reading books. Only 10 percent of Koreans said they dedicate at least 10 minutes a day to reading books.

When asked whether they think they are short of time, 59.4 percent said yes. Eight out of 10 Koreans also said that they feel tired. Females, those in their 30s, those with college diplomas, those with spouses, and those with jobs were more likely to feel tired.
