Wrinkle-free skin, unnaturally bright blue eyes and a missing mole: Kate Winslet gets an airbrush makeover for Vogue cover
Published: | Updated:
As any actress will know, one of the perks of posing for a huge magazine shoot is the knowledge that any imperfections can be removed with the aid of an airbrush.
But it seems the post-production crew went slightly too far while editing Kate Winslet's US Vogue cover, rendering the already-flawless actress virtually unrecognisable for the cover shot.
The 38-year-old's skin looks line and blemish free, with her already piercing blue eyes noticeably brighter as she stares into the camera.
Who's that girl? Kate Winslet is almost unrecognisable on the cover of the November edition of US Vogue magazine
Back to reality: Kate's large mole on her right cheek was absent from the shot, while her eyes aren't as blue in real life
Kate's jawline also appears to have been altered, with a soft focus effect finishing to the entire image.
In addition, one of Kate's two moles, on her right cheek, has also been removed.
It remains to be seen just what Kate makes of the retouched cover, as she was previously incredibly vocal when her picture was heavily edited for the cover of GQ magazine back in 2003.
She said at the time: 'The retouching is excessive. I do not look like that and more importantly, I don't desire to look like that.
'I actually have a Polaroid that the photographer gave me on the day of the shoot… I can tell you they've reduced the size of my legs by about a third. For my money it looks pretty good the way it was taken.'
Kate displayed her naturally beautiful complexion as she attended a screening of her new movie Labor Day in London on Saturday night.
The actress opted for a slimming all-black ensemble for the occasion, looking chic in a black top, skinny jeans and black blazer, finishing off her look with black high heels and keeping her blonde hair loose.
She accessorised her simple outfit with beautiful Monica Vinader earrings and bracelet.
Ever the professional Kate rested a hand affectionately on her blossoming stomach as she happily smiled and posed for the cameras.

Sparkle like an A-lister in a pair of jewel drop earrings
Kate Winslet looked radiant on the red carpet at the London screening of her new film Labor Day. But it wasn't just her pregnancy glow that made her shine out from the crowd, it was her sparkling jewelled earrings too.
Kate, who was dressed in a rather low-key all-black ensemble of skinny jeans, a blazer and pointed courts, let her statement accessories do the talking on Sunday night.
Her earrings are by Spanish-born jeweller Monica Vinader. Monica only began her eponymous label in 2002, and proved an instant hit with the A-listers. Other celebrity fans include Cameron Diaz and Cheryl Cole.
Kate is wearing Monica Vinader's Riva diamond co*cktail earrings - a two-tiered drop style which combines a diamond pave hoop and a multi-faceted lemon quartz gemstone.
As Kate has demonstrated statement earrings look fantastic paired with a casual outift, but they'd look equally gorgeous with an evening gown for a formal event.
