How to Adjust Privacy Settings for Games on Facebook (2024)
The Facebook social networking site offers many online games that users can play alone or with friends and other Facebook members. By default, most Facebook games post activity updates to your Profile page and News Feed. If you don't want your friends and other Facebook contacts to see your Facebook gaming activities, adjust the privacy settings for games on your Facebook account's Privacy Preferences page.

Sign in to Facebook.

Click "Account" in the navigation menu at the top of your homepage and select "Privacy Preferences" from the pull-down menu.

Scroll to the "Apps and Websites" section at the bottom of the Choose Your Privacy Preferences page. Click the blue "Edit Your Settings" link.

Find the Apps You Use section that displays the number of applications and games that you use on Facebook. Click the "Edit Settings" button in this section.

Click the blue "Edit" link beside the name of the game with the privacy settings that you want to adjust. This displays a list of all the default access and activity permissions assigned to the game.

Click the "Remove" link beside any activity that you want to hide from other users. For example, to stop the game from posting activity updates, click the "Remove" link next to "Post to My Wall." You can also remove access from your basic information, photos, videos and friends' information by clicking the "Remove" link.

Click the "Close" button to save and update your revised privacy preferences.
Tap in the top right of Facebook. Scroll down and tap Settings. Scroll down to the Security section and tap Apps and Websites. Learn more about adjusting the privacy settings or removing an app or game you've added.
Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy, then tap Settings. Scroll down to the Permissions section, then tap Apps and websites. Tap the app or game that you want to remove. Below the name of the app or game, tap Remove.

Facebook plans to close down its Facebook Gaming app, which lets users watch and play video games on-demand. Starting Oct. 28, Facebook Gaming will no longer be available on iOS and Android, while gaming features will continue to be accessible via the main Facebook app.
Tap in the top right of Facebook. Scroll down and tap Settings. Scroll down to the Security section and tap Apps and Websites. Tap Edit next to Apps, Websites and Games, then tap Turn Off.
Tap Logged in with Facebook. Tap the app that you want to adjust who can see your activity, then tap . Choose who you want to see that you use the app: Public, Friends or Only me.
Note: Only you can see your activity log, but the posts and other content in your activity log may appear other places on Facebook, like on your timeline, in Search or in your friends' Feeds.
