Christian Siriano Critiques A Jockstrap And Ogles Male Models In This ‘Project Runway All-Stars’ Exclusive Clip (2024)

What gets the designers in the work room on Project Runway All-Stars excited? Male models! In tonight’s episode, the contestants are tasked with creating high-fashion looks featuring couture undergarments in a one-day challenge. With icons Sergio Hudson and Paulina Porizkova on hand to criticize their looks, the designers know they must come up with something amazing. And what better inspiration than a hunky male model?

In this exclusive clip, we see Rami and Bishme giggling at their sewing machines, clearly giddy with the task at hand. What’s so funny? Bishme’s glasses that make him look like a “50-year-old woman.” While Laurence hammers away at her grommets, Prajjé laments about the challenges. “I don’t know how you make undergarments couture. What’s it gotta have–crystals?” Prajjé asks in exasperation. While the harried designers fret over their garments, Christian Siriano gleefully comes into the work room to announce that the models have arrived. “Men in model fitting, my favorite fitting of the year,” Christian exclaims as the studly models enter the room.

The first question Prajjé asks his model Jimmy: “How do you feel about being in a jockstrap?” “I knew it. I knew it. I knew it,” replies Jimmy good naturedly. Prajjé shows Jimmy the beginnings of his jockstrap, which looks entirely unfinished. From across the room, Christian Siriano sees what’s going on and says: “Prajjé, that little cup? Is it going to fit? It looks short.” “Well, I haven’t measured it yet,” Prajjé explains. “What’s the under piece?” asks Christian incredulously. In his confessional, Prajjé explains: “There is no measurement for crotch on the [model] card, and if I use base measures for this underwear, he will be wearing a diaper.”

While Prajjé fusses over his jockstrap, Christian wanders over to Laurence’s station to watch her fit her incredibly jacked male model. She conceals his well-defined six-pack abs with a jacket to show Christian her look-in-progress, and Christian sighs in exasperation. Don’t cover up the goods, Laurence! Fashion can wait for a view like that.
