Personally i don't think any chav would spend £40 on a T shirt the same as they don't buy Super Dry. Sports Direct is definitly the way forward for chav wardrobes.

That's exactly what they do - they are status symbols, same as gold rings and necklaces.

The majority of the diffusion labels of the Armani brand are aimed squarely at chavs. No different to Burberry and Stone Island.

Amazing isn't it, pay £150 on a pair of jeans then go and buy their dinner at Iceland for £3.00

Yes it starting to be a chav brand.

It always has been!

bBrands that scream CHAV - Page 2 - The Lounge (9)ks has it, since when has Portobello always been seen as common?.

The problem with threads like this is it's always down to personal opinion and the fact that the term 'chav' is generally used to mean something the poster doesn't like rather than it actually being chav.

Which is sort of the point I was making regarding Helly Hansen and Ben Sherman. Both very un-chav in my opinion.

Rubbish. Spend £15 on dodgy knock offs, and £1 on a poundland tin of all day breakfast. You must know the upper class ones Brands that scream CHAV - Page 2 - The Lounge (18)

I was about to buy a Hollister polo shirt the other day, and my wife said that Hollister is Chavey. I’m not convinced, but I’m also not willing to risk looking like a chav so didn’t bother buying it.

So you didn't buy something you liked just because you were worried what others might think.
What a chav!

Hollister isn't a chav brand yet IMO - but it's almost something worse - willfully trendy.
Anybody who queues up to buy their very overpriced clothes in the dark whilst being subject to what is effectively chemical warfare in their shops is a tomfool of the highest order.

Hollister is about 3 years past it and shouldn't be worn by anyone who's old enough to have done their GCSEs.

I have to admit I thought it was a work uniform, I was thinking the other day wow a lot of people work at Pauls boutique, I must leave the house more.

Superdry
Stone island
Burberry
Rockport
Henri Lloyd

Certain names I would have classed as pretty good have since become attainable for certain folk that want to push the chav brand further.

Armani Jeans
Armani exchange
Hugo boss (green or orange label)
Gucci (has to be a cap, trainers or man bag)

Burberry.

Next year will be the 30th year of owning my cashmere Burberry scarf, it's gone in and out of fashion with me over the years, but this Winter it'll be worn again.

Er, no.

I'm pointing out your total ignorance about the brand, which really does highlight my example.

It was once a low key brand (despite the product that they sell) but has over the last 6 years had the arse totally and utterly ripped out of it.

I couldn't give a stuff about the merchandise, handbags and denim miniskirts with I*heart*PB on them aren't my thing.

Really? When i think Chav i think fake burberry, tracksuits and sportswear brands like kappa/adidas. Do you really see someone wearing a Ben Sherman or Superdry shirt and think 'chav'?

It's not the brands that I have a problem with more that most people don't know how to dress and make "expensive" clothes look cheap. I can't stand to see people in bright clothes and from the knees down it looks like they've been jumping in mud puddles.

What a chav!

Yes that’s right. I didn’t buy it as it may make me look like a chav. It’s easy to mock someone for admitting that they care about what other people think, but I refuse to accept that there are many (if any) people out their that genuinely don’t care what others think. I would bet that trainers and jogging pants are quite comfortable, but unsurprisingly I wouldn’t wear them due to the image that this would portray. Would you?

Nice touch!
