We all tend to like summer dresses, especially ones that hide our flaws and are comfortable plus cute! Swing dresses are trendy and very popular with ladies of all ages. Why? They are comfortable, affordable, you are able to dress them up for a workwear outfit or style it casual with a ball cap, denim shirt, and sneakers for a weekend look. It’s a wardrobe piece that has multiple uses and is fast becoming a staple piece in my own wardrobe.
While I was on one of my many Walmart runs, I found this Time and Tru Sage Sleeveless Knit Dress. I knew I would be able to style this many different ways, so this was a huge steal for me. What made this dress even more appealing was the price tag! Girls – it’s under $10, check it out here.
Since the weather dropped about 30 degrees, I thought I would style this with a gray long duster/cardigan to break that chill in the air. This cardigan is very similar in color to my dress, so I added a leopard scarf to give it a little color. A great statement necklace would have worked just as well! But as you girls know – I don’t wear a ton of jewelry, or I wear it in waves, just depending on how I am feeling.
I found a few cardigans and spring jackets that would look great with this dress in the carousel below. These pieces are great to wear with skirts, jeans, and shorts…perfect for transitioning through the colder weather into warmer days.
I liked the look of the Open-Toe Bootie with this outfit and since I wear my Open-Toe Booties year-round, this was a perfect time to show you girls how I style them while transitioning into my spring outfits. I bought these booties from Target about two years ago, so I linked some really cute booties/sandals that are similar below.
I snapped a picture of this cute dress without the cardigan so you could see what it looks like alone. It’s a perfect summer dress with a cute pair of espadrilles! I bought my espadrilles last summer, but I found a pair that is half the price and is identical to mine. See them here. I linked the entire outfit below in the Shop The Post including the espadrilles.
Which look do you like best? With or without the cardigan?

Don’t mind my mess in the background of these pictures lol! With everyone hanging out at home a little more it seems the house is staying in disarray. Anyone else having that problem? Sighhhh!! We are still working on the mulch, Barry was not much on the idea of working in the yard yesterday – I kind of knew that was going to be a no-go with him ha! What are you girls up to today? How are you girls making out staying home? Curious to know how many of you are on a “stay in place ” order – we are only allowed to get out for groceries, medicines, walking the dog/exercise, etc. What about you girls?
Have a blessed day!
